Mark Hamill retiring his Joker laugh

Well…maybe. In a recent interview with IGN UK about the development of Rocksteady’s highly anticipated sequel to the 2009 game of the year Arkham Asylum, Mark Hamill says it took some convincing for him to do both Arkham Asylum as well return for the sequel. And while he does not intend for his comments to serve as possible spoilers for the plot of this franchises second (and possibly third) releases, he does say that he intends his next turn as the Joker to be his last saying, “This will be my last, there’s no question about that. But it’s the last hurrah.”

For more of IGN’s interview head over to their site and for more info on Batman Arkham Asylum 2 you can hit the official site for the game. If you’d just like to enjoy Mark Hamill’s incredible variations of his Joker laugh, check out the video below.

Batmobile Charity Auction

If you are like me, you’ve always wanted to be Batman or at least be able to have people believe you might be in the same universe of cool he usually inhabits. Well if you’ve got some spare cash lying around, you can take a giant step towards being the closest thing your neighborhood is likely to get towards having its very own caped crusader.

The folks over at Charity Buzz are auctioning off a replica version of the ride Adam West and Burt Ward made famous in the old-school classic live action Batman television show. Not only that, the proceeds go to charity in the form of a donation to Life Project For Africa, so you’re first act in trying to be Batman might actually help save someone’s day.

The bidding has 23 days left so there is still time to get your finances (and Batcave) in order. Anybody want to loan me $40,000?

Batman: The Brave & The Bold & The Musical!

The Caped Crusader faces a new villain in the upcoming Batman: The Brave And The Bold episode, Mayhem of the Music Meister. Although many regulars from the show sing in the episode, it features the voices of Grey DeLisle as Black Canary and Neil Patrick Harris as the Music Meister, a menacing villain who is able to exert powerful mind-control through song. The sneak preview at Comic-Con this past July got a huge response and now after much anticipation, the episode will finally air Friday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network.

As an awesome follow up, on Saturday, October 24, New Line Records will release Batman: The Brave & The Bold: Mayhem of the Music Meister soundtrack digitally on iTunes and other digital music outlets. Amazon.com will offer fans the exclusive option of purchasing either a hard or digital copy of the soundtrack. The soundtrack will feature all five original songs from the episode as well as the highly sought Batman: The Brave And The Bold theme.

Morrison and Quietly on Batman and Robin

After that nasty run by Jim Lee and Frank Miller on Batman and Robin, and the awesome run on All-star Superman by Frank Quietly and Grant Morrison, all I can say is that can’t wait to get my hands on Quietly and Morrison’s Batman and Robin.
