Mark Hamill retiring his Joker laugh

Well…maybe. In a recent interview with IGN UK about the development of Rocksteady’s highly anticipated sequel to the 2009 game of the year Arkham Asylum, Mark Hamill says it took some convincing for him to do both Arkham Asylum as well return for the sequel. And while he does not intend for his comments to serve as possible spoilers for the plot of this franchises second (and possibly third) releases, he does say that he intends his next turn as the Joker to be his last saying, “This will be my last, there’s no question about that. But it’s the last hurrah.”

For more of IGN’s interview head over to their site and for more info on Batman Arkham Asylum 2 you can hit the official site for the game. If you’d just like to enjoy Mark Hamill’s incredible variations of his Joker laugh, check out the video below.

Batman: Arkham Asylum trailers

Hitting multiple gaming systems this summer, Batman: Arkham Asylum will look to do what no other Batgame has ever done. To not only take you inside an Arkham Asylum that will be familiar to comic readers, but also to give those same fans a chance to act as Batman would when faced with the situations in the game.

Gamers will be challenged to take out more than a dozen of Batman’s toughest foes while also battling against Arkham’s own defense systems turned against him. However this promises to be more than just a combat game as Batman’s stealth and detective skills will also be put to the test in order to make his way to the Joker and save Gotham.

Developers claim that this game is based on the more than 70 year history of Batman as published by DC Comics. However there is a more than subtle nod to Batman’s history in animation as well, with the familiar voices of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill lending their talents to the project. Check out two trailers from Gametrailers.com below for a look at what you can expect in 3 months.

Written by fan favorite Paul Dini, art by Wildstorm Studios, development by Rocksteady Studios and published by both Eidos and WB Interactive Entertainment, the game is set for release on June 9th. Keep and eye on the game’s official site for future updates.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 trailer

Originally the only peek fans were given of this game is that it would be subtitled ‘Fusion” and feature heroes being able to combine their special abilities for powerful combined attacks. While that might turn out to be an interesting piece of game play, fans were more interested in what storyline the game might have. It would seem with this trailer released at the NYCC that we now have information on the story the game will follow. That storyline? Marvel’s recent “Civil War”…take a look at the newest trailer for MUA2 below.
