People used to sing about Metamorpho

Metamorpho was cooler in the 70’s. Not that he isn’t a good character in the modern DCU, he just isn’t always given the personality and pizzazz that many remember from days gone by. If you love the Wednesday Comic’s Metamorpho feature by Mike Allred and Neil Gaiman you kind of know what I am talking about but you still aren’t getting the full effect.

Luckily for you, there is a song that can showcase exactly what I mean.

For more on the origins of this song check out this groovy site and this awesome page too.

OH MY GOD!

I have a couple of these still but no record player!

The Amazing Spider-Man where he meets Man Wolf was the first comic I ever bought with my own money.

That story is what started me reading...this stuff is fucking awesome.

Now I have mp3's of them all!

But seriously, I'm totally composed.

I had several of those Power Records albums when I was a kid. I think I still have the Justice League album and a couple of the Batman records in a footlocker somewhere.

Loved them when I was a kid and I still like listening to some of those mp3's today.

I have actually never read his Brave & the Bold appearances that are in that Showcase edition. I think my interest in the character really stems from his membership in the original version of Batman & the Outsiders. I have the first showcase for BATO and recommend that for some oldschool 80's fun.
