Have you guys read Eleanor Davis' "The Beast Mother" mini? Probably one of the best comics I've ever read ever. I was on kind of a tight budget at FLUKE this year and bought fewer comics than in years past, which I really regret. I'm pretty grateful for review shows like this one though that point me toward stuff I missed and should try and seek out, like those Jackie Lewis comics sound great. Thanks to Shawn I had picked up "Monster Town Vol.1" shortly after SPX last year and I made sure to get Vol. 2 at FLUKE. Pranas, I agree, is pretty awesome. And Shannon is one of the best dudes in comics, I was glad to hear you guys sing his praises as well.

I've been listening to David Sedaris audio books these past few days and I've decided Eleanor Davis stories make me feel the same way David Sedaris stories do. They both have a very honest sometimes awkward quality. Yet, they also have the ability to make mundane acts of life very interesting to observe.

Thanks guys!

Eleanor Davis has way more talent than anyone deserves. That Beast Mother mini is one of the essential minicomics. Also, the one you were talking about where the girl is helping the old person and here is boyfriend drama etc. I don't remember the title either but it is just great.
