To the guys it seems like it has been weeks since they sat down for a show to just rant about comics. Oh wait, it has been weeks! Listen in on the guys rant about: never ending crossovers, the greatness of Black Adam, Avengers that do nothing, the ugly rumor they are anti-DC and of course much more on this edition of the Dollar Bin.

As always love listening to the podcast. It's a nice 'MotherF***ing' distracting during my work day.
How can people accuse you as being Anti 'DC' when the Dollar Bin logo is a nice homage to the old DC bullet logo, just an observation

You'd be amazed at some of the criticism/commentary we gat from the nether reigons of the internet. Apologies for the defensive rants in this show, it's still hard to believe the number of people listening, or the number of things that can piss them off. Cest la vie.

7. I'm so glad that someone came up with topics. Tre was so ready to do the Vick thing. I think we have finally buckled down again and Brian has been sending up topic idea schedules for the next 7 years, but I think those are all great ideas. Number 1 you'll be hearing sooner than you think. Jack Kirby so deserves a show and we've attempted it twice in the past, but have not aired them because we didn't think we did the man justice. Wolverine will get a show. Even if the other guys don't want to do it I say he must. Regardless of how good or bad a character he is he deserves it.

Alan Moore in general would be a great topic i think.
We also did an Alan more one waaay back, but Flaco wasn't really feeling it so we never posted it. Its in the vault. Maybe someday I pull it out.
Well if you are gonna do Jack Kirby you have to do Steve Ditko right?

I love the character spotlights and was thinking of some you could do.

Flash (all of them or any specific one that you like)
Also, do you guys like what DC does with their characters passing on the "mantle" to others (Example: Flash, Robin, Green Lantern, etc). Do you think Marvel should do more of this instead of having Peter Parker remain 30 for 70 years.

Great podcast and nice to see some actual postings here. I would like to see more generalized topics discussed that everyone can ahve an opinion on instead of discussion on a particular issue that maybe only 40% of the people might have read. Topics such as:
1. Diamond Distributing and how it's F***ed the comics industry. Whenever Diamond shorted my comic shop a title I collected I dropped that title until I had nothing left to collect and have now gone to trades only.
2. A fanboy episode on who should play what characters on the proposed Justice League movie.
3. Fanboy lists of the best writers or artists or writer/artist combinations.
4. Minorities in comics.
5. Best Avengers linup ever.

I've been pushing for an Ultimate Universe discussion for a while now. Hopefully someday I'll get it. Having other people request it should help. That passing the torch idea is a damn good discussion idea we gotta bring that one up.
Wow dropping a title when Diamond screws up the order is freakin' harsh. I wish I had that kind of will power. The Fanboy discussion will come sooner than you think. Much sooner. Minorities in comics... should we have minorities involved in this one? or hit it like we did with women in comics..? Best Avengers lineup. I can get behind that.
I'm so glad everyone is throwing out these kick ass ideas, because as much as I enjoy ranting about Vick. I do this for the comics. And I think we have our next 6 months schedulable.
Oh yeah and I've recently missed like 4 books because of Diamond distribution and that blows.
I have huge gaps in my collection where Diamond would short change my comic shop the same title 3 months in a row and there is no way I can pay $10.00 an issue to track down back issues. I missed 4 issues of the New Avengers in a row as my shop only got in half the number they ordered. I have been thinking of doing an online subscription as I hear they are more reliable. Can anyone confirm this or do they have any suggestions?
I feel like a cheap whore saying this, but Planet Comics, the shop that donated Fell, has a pretty good online subscription and back issue purchase system. I'm not sure what the shipping adds, but they've got it and its easy. The link is under "Comic Shops" up there on the side bar.
Oh, Adam. You're a cheap whore for reasons that have nothing to do with that last comment. Thanks to everybody for all these ideas! There's some really good stuff here that I promise will be used! I didn't REALLY wanna talk about Vick any more anyway.
Speaking of Tre's great song...have you all seen the movie Scotland, PA. Maura Tierney quotes Tre! It's freakin' awesome!! Go rent it!
