Yeah....maybe you guys really should be saving some of that drama for ya mamas. Did, like, Bob Fosse produce this episode or something?

In other news, I really enjoyed Tee's breakdown of his love affair with Storm. Listening to someone smart and introspective lay out why they appreciate a character is pretty interesting. You should totally do the same with some other folks. The crazy voices all over this one? Not so much.

First off Henry, Bob Fosse couldn't have produced this episode for two reasons: 1. He's dead and 2. There was not enough jazz hands.

I am glad to have another Comics with Minori-Tee. Just to add to the information a lot of Storm's look came from a character Dave Cockrum was going to create for the Legion of Super Heroes called The Black Cat who could change into any kind of cat and fused it with the weather control powers of a character he created for the Outsiders called Typhoon. Took me a little bit but here a link to the original sketch of Storm as the Black Cat: http://achievementhunter.com/forum/viewTopic.php?id=2201273. Go down about halfway to see it.

Now we need to get Tee to do a show on Brother Voodoo.

Piss off Henry. Voices are fun.

I can't believe that Henry actually typed the word "like" into his comment. wow.

March 16, 2011 | Registered CommenterJoel Mangrum

Storm's not African-American. She's just African. Just sayin.

Also, the dramatic reading really illustrates how awful ______ really was. What a waste of awesome art.

March 16, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterTed

Ted, who said she was African-American? We said she was African.

March 16, 2011 | Registered CommenterAdam-Bin

She's referred to as an African-American character several times. But, I was just posting that to eff with Tee...I really dug his segment.

Man, I'm pretty positive I heard some jazz hands in there somewhere. And, yes, I'll throw in a "like" once and a while. I've come to embrace my inner valley girl.

Sorry to be critical of your voices, Adam. It did sound like you guys had an incredible amount of fun making this show and, really, the dramatic reading of the Goddamn Batman stuff was really funny. I will now continue to piss right off.

Ted, I think if you listen back you will notice that she never is referred to as African-American. I just did a listen through and didn't notice it, but I may have missed something.

March 17, 2011 | Registered CommenterDollar Bin

If you actually listened, you'd notice I was saying "African or African-American" before I switched to "black." Glad you liked it though! I think the segment works better as an opinion segment rather than "The Wikipedia Minute, starring Tee."

I fastforwarded through the silly voices.

I love me some T&A but I think there's an imbalance in this episode. More T! Less A!

March 17, 2011 | Unregistered Commenterkilmarock

Damn you people! What silly voices? Those are reviews! That's us being excited about books! I hate you all. The next show will be all Tee.

March 17, 2011 | Registered CommenterAdam-Bin

More T and less A, now THAT is a classic line. Well-played Kilmarock. Well-played indeed.

I didn't hate or like the voice, etc... but I have to admire Adam and Shawn for trying something different to keep things from going stale. And if you'll notice this is the most comments we've had on an episode in a LONG time so they must have done something right.

And I'm not saying Tee did a bad job or anything but I thought in this case Storm had an interesting creation story that people might enjoy.

I was cool with the reviews it was the first 5 minutes and last 5 minutes that just didn't do it for me.

Oh, and I thought Tee's idea of having late 90's Angela Bassett playing Storm to be a great call and agree that Halle Berry was the wrong actress for that part.

Adam and I are hilarious! I hate you all (but not really). I had a lot of fun doing this show. I hope it was at least midly amusing to you guys.

Oh MAN! Hale Barry RUINED Storm for me. Screw her. They couldn't have gotten someone who could act?!

I LOVE Super Pro K.O. Jarret Williams is the MAN. I can't wait for the rest of the series.

Good show y'all.

Thanks.
