Great interview, guys. I've never read Common Grounds but now I want to. I love books that take the the superhero genre and warp it into something new. I'm referring to books like Powers and Heroes Anonymous (Bongo Comics) and, from the sounds of it, Common Grounds.
If you like Astro City I would recommend giving Common Grounds a shot.
Great job, guys! And thanks for editing out the part where I started crying uncontrollably after you brought my repressed memories to the surface...
Well, without being able to see on the doll where the bad man touched you it just didn't have as much impact.
Wow! I just discovered your website and you have an interview with one of my favorite writers!!!
So cool!!!
Go Twilight Guardian!
P.S: I called my band The Pathetic Club :)
Welcome to our little corner of the internet. We have a lot of great interviews available with creators such as Christopher Priest, Ron Frenz and Tom DeFalco, Joe Rubinstein, Pia Guerra, Robin Furth, Tom Brevoort, and Darick Robertson for download right now and a few more coming up soon. I would really like to get Troy back on again in the future as he was SO much fun to talk to. The Pathetic Club is an awesome name for a band, right up there with Sonic Death Monkey.
Thanks for replying! I look forward to hearing more from Troy here on your podcast! :)
Shawn just picked me up 6 issues of Common Grounds last night. I just read issue 1 and so far so good. It was everything I dreamed it would be.
It gets better as you go along. Let me know which story turns out to be your favorite.
