Interview: Neal Adams Part 1
Wednesday, October 6, 2010 Filed in Interview
Have you not been offended by the Dollar Bin in the past? Now’s your chance. Just before the dawn of Batman Odyssey the Dollar Bin gang (plus a silent mystery guest) sat down with the “Living Legend” Neal Adams to catch a glimpse into the life of the man himself as well as a sneak peak of his upcoming series. Now that the series is a few issues in we feel it may be safe to spill the beans.

"I love fucking comic books."
I want that on a t-shirt. I also hope I'm as awesome as he is when I get to be his age. Fantastic interview.
God I LOVE NEAL ADAMS!!! And what a FUN interview he gives!!! Thanks for the interview; excited to hear more. Give him a kiss for me at NY Comic Con!!!
This has to be the BEST thing EVER to appear on the Dollar Bin...I've lost count of how many times I've busted out laughing right in the middle of the office...LOVE this interview!!!
"How many kind of those interview requests do you get a year" ..."Well, there's you!" - LMAO!!!
After 20 minutes I took all the notes and questions I had and pretty much set them on fire. To the best of my recollection Adam only cut maybe a minute and a half if that.
Is it just me or does his laughs/chuckles sound like the Penguin...he'd lay one in there subtly between stories and that had me rolling! Can't wait for the next installment!
If you thought this was nuts, your entire concept of reality will be changed when part 2 goes up.
-"Is it just me or does his laughs/chuckles sound like the Penguin?"
--hell yes it does. I said the same thing to Shawn when I was editing it.
I met Neal at New York Comic Con on Sunday. He gave me shit for taking so long to post the interview. Well, that and he barely remembered it.
On a side note I also met Tom DeFalco. He remembered us. He also gave me shit. He had the Thunderstrike pages for issue one coming out and it looks like the most exciting action packed comic I've ever seen. More to come on that later, but not an interview, I didn't get any of those (more on that later too).
I can't wait to hear the stories behind this.
I enjoyed this for a while, but the ambiguity was too much after a while. I can't tell when he's serious and when he's kidding. Especially about the french thing. That was over the top, man! :P
It was even harder on us who were interviewing him. I honestly just think he decided to have some fun with the interview and wanted to be a little silly. Part 2 will bake your mind though. Go check out either the Christopher Priest or the Ron Frenz/Tom DeFalco interviews.
