Does the Thing have a rock tongue?
No. All internal organs are of the normal human variety.

Marvel or DC?
Marvel. The characters are more realistic. However, Vertigo trumps both.

Superman or Batman?
Superman. One punch at super speed when Batman's not expecting it and they'd never find his head. THE END

Supergirl or Power Girl?
Supergirl during the day......Power Girl at night.

Perry White or J Jonah Jameson?
JJJ

Mjolnir or Cap’s Shield?
Nothing screams badass more than walking into a room with a huge f***in hammer.

Captain America: Dead or Alive?
Keep Steve Rogers dead. LONG LIVE BUCKY CAP!

Aquaman or the Submariner?
I have a hard time backing a guy dressed only in a speedo but I have to. Plus ankle wings are awesome.

Hulk Smash or Its Clobbering Time?
It's Clobbering Time.

John Romita Sr or John Romita Jr?
Romita Sr every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Robin or Bucky?
Robin's old outfit was a pedophile's wet dream so Bucky wins there plus the Bucky of today could put a bullet into Robin's head from two towns away and make it look like a suicide.

HAHAHA! Awesome answers!

Does the Thing have a rock tongue?
Nah...all his internal organs are human body tissue. But it makes me wonder if his internal organs are super-durable.

Marvel or DC?
First comic I ever read was a Marvel Comic. But DC owns about 90% of my comic buying years.

Superman or Batman?
Batman is cooler, but Supes would eat his soul in a fight.

Supergirl or Power Girl?
Power Girl. Only because Supergirl is lame (she REALLY shouldn't exist...). Not because of the titties.

Perry White or J Jonah Jameson?
As entertainment? JJJ. To work for? Perry. I'd have killed JJJ by now if I were Peter. Nobody likes a dickhead boss.

Mjolnir or Cap’s Shield?
Mjolnir, every day of the week, and twice on Sundays. You guys made a point to say that Cap's shield always comes back, but so does Mjolnir. Also, it's a hammer.

Captain America: Dead or Alive?
Steve Rogers should be dead. I wouldn't mind if they brought him back later down the line, but they shoulda given Bucky more of a chance to shine in the Cap role. He's really good at it.

Aquaman or the Submariner?
Aquaman. He's had some good run down the years, and he at least has a costume that makes sense. Also, he's not as dickish as Namor. I couldn't take Namor seriously. If I made the superhero rules, a shit-talker in a speedo gets punched in the mouth every time he shows up, 24-7/365. Kinda like many Europeans.

Hulk Smash or Its Clobbering Time?
"It's Clobbering Time" is a better thought out catchphrase, but gives the villain 3 extra syllables' time to shoot you in the face with an antimatter death ray.

John Romita Sr or John Romita Jr?
Jr.'s runs on Daredevil and Thor give him enough credibility in my book to win this one. I'm just not old enough to give much of a crap about Sr.'s stuff, though I'll never dispute how influential he is.

Robin or Bucky? Which Robin, and which Bucky?
I think Damien gives 1940s Bucky a hell of a fight. Tim Drake or Dick Grayson vs Bucky starts as a good scrap, but Bucky ends it when those guys don't go for the kill. I won't even bother with Jason Todd, Nomad, or Girl Bucky since they ALL suck.

Loving these old-school round table shows, and this one even had Devin!

I'll play along:
Does the Thing have a rock tongue?
No, but please stop talking about this before some hack writer has someone kill Ben Grimm by reaching down his throat.

Marvel or DC?
Given just those options, Marvel. I was definately an Avengers kid, but hardly read any from the big #2's now.

Superman or Batman?
Batman, still waiting to read a really cool Superman story that doesn't involve some elseworlds twist.

Supergirl or Power Girl?
Supergirl, I'm not sure which is more determental to comicdom, trying to explain Power-Girls origin story, or showing someone her costume.

Perry White or J Jonah Jameson?
JJJ, he has a astronaught werewolf son, no contest.

Mjolnir or Cap’s Shield?
Mjolnir, how is it not iconic for Thor, it's got his name on it!

Captain America: Dead or Alive?
Dead, can we please have a rule that you can't bring someone back from the dead for at least 5 years after they've died.

Aquaman or the Submariner?
Submariner, it's all in the attitude. I don't think I could ever buy Aquaman as a villian.

Hulk Smash or Its Clobbering Time?
It's Clobbering Time, Hulk Smash is about as stupid as Thing Punch!

John Romita Sr or John Romita Jr?
Seriously how is this even a question for anyone old enough to remember SR.?

Robin or Bucky?
For the past 3 years, Bucky, but he was about as relavent as Uncle Ben before that, so Dick Grayson wins in a landslide.

Does the Thing have a rock tongue?
Nope (via Google image)

Marvel or DC?
As long as DC is allowing Grant Morrison to write for one of its flagship characters, it's Marvel. That dude must put shrooms in his corn flakes because he's nuttier than George Washington Carver's shit.

Superman or Batman?
Superman. Why are criminals even scared of Batman? He doesn't really hurt anyone. Ever. I don't get it? Do the criminals not talk to each other or compare notes? The worse you're going to get is a broken nose or finger. Just stand your ground and shoot the sum bitch. Come on...how many cops on the Gotham PD have a higher body count than Batman? Like 99% of them? Poser.

Supergirl or Power Girl?
Power Girl's outfit points to some serious daddy issues. Everything being even, choose the damaged chick.

Perry White or J Jonah Jameson?
JJJ. Based on his inability to figure out Clark Kent's secret after like 50 yrs, I can only assume PW's retarded.

Mjolnir or Cap’s Shield?
The shield. I'm not a Norse god (or in space), so Mjolnir's pretty much only useful as a paper weight. Well, not even that...because good luck getting a piece of paper under it.

Captain America: Dead or Alive?
Alive. You guys do realize that Bucky's still Cap, right? Rogers coming back hasn't really changed much in that book. Pretty much erase Nick Fury out of his 1 or 2 panels in pre-Return issues and draw in Rogers. Still all about Bucky.

Aquaman or the Submariner?
Submariner. Even though I think Aquaman's about to adopt a black kid (or something).

Hulk Smash or Its Clobbering Time?
Neither. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

John Romita Sr or John Romita Jr?
I guess I'll have to say Jr., since I'm not an old fart like you guys. Jr's stuff is pretty terrible, but I can't be a poser and pretend I remember any art drawn in the 50s.

Robin or Bucky?
Bucky. To jump on an earlier point: EVEN BUCKY HAS KILLED PEOPLE! BUCKY HAS MORE BODIES THAN BATMAN!

> Does the Thing have a rock tongue?
Not sure I want to find out...

> Marvel or DC?
Historically I've been a Marvel Zombie, but lately...they're both lacking (Image really, but that wasn't a choice)

> Superman or Batman?
Batman...he fights dirty (see DKR)

> Supergirl or Power Girl?
Could care less, but really depends on the artist ;)

> Perry White or J Jonah Jameson?
JJJ - flat top ftw

> Mjolnir or Cap’s Shield?
Mjolnir...only if you can lift it. Then you wouldn't need a shield and you can start thunderstorms...and fly...and break stuff on the Nine Worlds!

> Captain America: Dead or Alive?
Cap as Steve Rogers should be alive and setting the standard for "Hero" in the 616. Why does Bucky have to stop being Bucky? I like the Winter Soldier better than Bucky as Cap, besides redemption makes for a great story!

> Aquaman or the Submariner?
Could care less...they both suck. Althou Jae Lee's Namor was pretty badass.

> Hulk Smash or Its Clobbering Time?
I prefer the ever lovin blue eyed Thing, but "Hulk Smash" is pretty succinct.

> John Romita Sr or John Romita Jr?
For me JRJr, but he defined Amazing Spider-Man and the Uncanny X-Men for me in the 80's. And like Ted mentioned, I never saw SR's artwork in anything I wa reading until I started looking at reprints. SR is by far and away the more influential, but as tastes go, give me JRJr

> Robin or Bucky?
Never liked either one until they were gone. Dick is THE sidekick and as Nightwing can and has stood alone for decades. Bucky was annoying until Bru took over and made him relevant as Winter Soldier. Currently gotta go with Bucky, but historically Robin (Dick) wins.

November 12, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBrandon/Big Dog

Anyone else find it odd that Ted seems to be ranking "heroes" by how many people they kill?

November 13, 2010 | Registered CommenterBrian Eison

Not ranking...just saying that I don't get the fear. Never bought Batman as being so terrifying, but writers just use it as a given.

November 14, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterTed

btw - the guy who bought those posters on e-Bay actually backed out of it! So I still have them if anyone is interested! ;)
