Mark Bagley Covers Sports Illustrated
Former Marvel mainstay and current DC exclusive artist Mark Bagley has probably his biggest cover ever on stands this week. Not only in physical size (magazine to comics at least) but also in terms of notoriety as well. Bagley along with Karl Story And Alex Sinclair produced the cover to this weeks Sports Illustrated featuring comic versions of Tampa Bay D-Rays outfielder Carl Crawford lifting a stunned New York Yankee captain Derek Jeter over his head while a bewildered Bizarro looks on.
Even a diehard Yankee fan like myself has to admit…that’s pretty cool.

I love Bagley. I hate Derek Cheter!
This has it all!
Sweet.
Bye.
I'm not a sports guy and this maybe a little weird to gripe about, but if what Bizarro is seeing is an odd occurrence shouldn't he be really into it rather than perplexed by it?
I just over analyzed a Bizarro cover to an issue of Sports Illustrated.... I am a nerd.
This is funny.
A few days ago on Countdown with Keith Ollbermann, he was ragging on some news commentators for calling him a 'Former Sports Guy'. So he gets his revenge by calling them comic nerds because one commentator prefaces a story by asking the other if he ever read any Bizarro comics as a boy, to make a point about something being Bizarro.
So how nerdy are they now if freaking SI has a Bizarro cover?
Was one of those guys Tom Verducci? And although Oberman make the big bucks with Countdown he still talks sports and can run with the best of them.
I didn't even consider Bizarro's reaction...although it did bother me that Jeter's name is on the back of his jersey since the Yanks don't do that.
And I would just like to take this opportunity to say that I love me some Keith Olbermann.
I love Olbermann as well, but sometimes he's extra liberal and grasps for straws.
That can get annoying.
